Jesus was worshiped as God:

The bible is very clear.  God is very clear.  Man is not to worship anyone but God.

“For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:” (Ex 34:14 AV

In the bible men worship Jesus.  If He was not God He would have said, “Don’t worship me”.  But Jesus did receive worship.

“Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.” (Mt 2:2 AV)

“And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.” (Mt 2:8 AV)

“And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.” (Mt 2:11 AV)

“And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.” (Mt 8:2 AV)

“While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.” (Mt 9:18 AV)

“Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.” (Mt 14:33 AV)

“The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.” (Mt 18:26 AV)

“And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.” (Mt 28:9 AV)

“And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.” (Mt 28:17 AV)

“But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,” (Mr 5:6 AV)

“And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.” (Mr 15:19 AV)

“And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:” (Lu 24:52 AV)

“And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.” (Joh 9:38 AV)

The bible says every creature is to worship Jesus.

“And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.” (Re 5:13-14 AV)

The angels would not receive worship.

“And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.” (Re 22:8 AV)

“Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.” (Re 22:9 AV)

The angels worship Jesus.

“And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.” (Heb 1:6 AV)

Peter would not receive worship.

“And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.” (Ac 10:25-26 AV)

We can know Jesus is God.  He would be a false witness if He received worship if He was not God.  If Jesus were an angel or a man He would have reacted as Peter did in Acts or as the angel did in Revelation and would have refused to receive worship.  The fact that Jesus does receive worship is one of the many great evidences that prove without a doubt Jesus is God.

The bible teaches that one day every knee will bow to Jesus.

"That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth, " (Phllipians 2:10 AV) "And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Phillipians 2:11 AV)

If we consider what bowing is, we know that it is a form of worship.  And God says that we shall not bow down and worship anyone but God.

“Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, .....;” (Ex 20:5 AV)

The fact that the bible says every knee will bow to Jesus teaches us that He is God, and this is why we will bow to Jesus.

Man will either bow to Jesus as LORD (Yahweh) (God) in this lifetime or in the afterlife when it will be too late.

We must receive the true “witness” of God our Father, when He said:

“But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.” (Heb 1:8 AV)

If God the Father, calls His Son God, then we must also submit to His Testimony that Jesus is God.

The "Jehovah's Witness", "Watchtower and Tract Society", has changed thier translation of the bible called the "New World Translation".

One of the many ways they have changed thier translation of the bible is to take out the word "worship", when it applies to Jesus and replace it with the word "obeisance" (which means to pay respect).

The Greek word in question is "proskeneu" which means "to prostrate ones self in an act of worship".

Whenever the Greek word "proskeneu" applies to Jesus they translate the word "obeisance".  But when the same Greek word "proskeneu" applies to the Father they translate it "worship".

This is clearly deceptive.

The Johova's Witness does not believe that Jesus is God.  Therefore they must change their translation of the bible to take out the word "worship" when it is applied to Jesus.

The motive is to not "worship" Jesus in an act of rebellion.

The scriptures clearly translates "proskeneu" to be "worship" when you look at the original languange.

Be careful not to follow the different translation of the "Jehovah's Witness"!
